The latest firmware update 2.56 makes your wibutler pro more powerful - and even more international. New on board is the Viessmann CO₂ sensorIt enables smart ventilation and heating solutions based on precise indoor climate data. The Viessmann Vitocharge storage cylinder has been fundamentally reintegrated - for a better overview, flexible configuration and optimum preparation for the upcoming energy control in the wibutler energy cockpit. At the same time, wibutler is growing linguistically: In addition to German and English, the app is now also available in French and Spanish available. Users with the corresponding system language will automatically experience the app in their preferred language - without having to change it manually.

Whether intelligent ventilation, demand-controlled heating or smart use of your own electricity - this update brings measurable benefits for Living comfort and energy efficiency. As always, of course: simply networked, seamlessly integrated.

Firmware update 2.56: New compatible

The new Viessmann CO₂ sensor makes your home or public building even smarter. The device not only reliably measures CO₂ values, but also Temperature and Air humidity - and communicates seamlessly with wibutler via ZigBee. As usual, integration is quick and straightforward.

Technical highlights:

  • Battery-operated, wireless sensor (wired operation possible)
  • Ideal for public buildings - easy to retrofit
  • Particularly cost-efficient in comparison
Der Viessmann CO2-Sensor ist ab sofort mit wibutler kompatibel. Nutze ihn für ein gesundes Raumklima in deinem Zuhause.

Possible applications

1. smart ventilation control

C02-based ventilation control: The sensor reliably detects the CO₂ concentration in the room and thus provides the basis for demand-controlled ventilation.

This is how it works: If a defined threshold value (e.g. 1,000 ppm) is exceeded, wibutler automatically activates the central ventilation system or decentralised ventilation unit. Once a target value is reached (e.g. below 800 ppm), the system switches off again.

Your advantages:

  • Demand-led fresh air supply without manual intervention
  • Optimised energy efficiency through targeted ventilation instead of continuous operation
  • Better indoor climate for concentration, well-being and health

Humidity-based ventilation control: In addition to CO₂, the sensor also reliably measures the humidity in the room. This is particularly relevant in bathrooms, kitchens, cellars or bedrooms - places where humidity often causes problems.

How it works: As soon as the relative humidity exceeds a defined value (e.g. 70 %), wibutler automatically activates a ventilation system. After drying to a healthy value (e.g. below 60 %), the ventilation switches off again.

Your advantages:

  • Effective protection against mould growth
  • More living comfort - no more stuffy or damp rooms
  • Fully automatic and energy-efficient - wibutler only ventilates when necessary

Automatic push notifications: Automatic ventilation is not always available or desired - but you still want to react in good time if the air quality is poor? No problem: with wibutler, you receive push notifications directly to your smartphone as soon as the CO₂ values or humidity exceed critical thresholds.

How it works: wibutler continuously analyses the air quality via the Viessmann CO₂ sensor. If an individually defined limit value is exceeded (e.g. 1,000 ppm CO₂ or 65 % humidity), wibutler automatically sends a push notification to your smartphone. This is a simple way to remind you to ventilate regularly.

Your advantages:

  • No permanent app use necessary - you are actively informed when action is required.
  • Ideal for public buildings, offices or rental properties - as the operator, you are always in the picture.
  • Enables targeted, manual ventilation - before the air „tilts“.

2. control heating efficiently

As part of the wibutler individual room control system, the sensor works as an efficient assistant: the measured room temperatures help to determine the heating requirements of the room and thus control the heating as needed - for optimum energy control and perfect living comfort at the same time.

3. integration in Matter environments

The Viessmann CO₂ sensor is connected via the wibutler pro is also Matter-compatible. For example, you can integrate it into Apple Home, query information about the HomePod or control other Matter-enabled devices.

Firmware update 2.56: Now even more flexible

The Viessmann Vitocharge was already compatible with wibutler - has now been fundamentally improved: More transparency, more flexibility, more options for your efficiency at home.

What's new?

Previously, the Vitocharge was displayed as a single device in the wibutler app. Now, wibutler organises the system into up to three separate components:

  1. House connection meter (bidirectional meter)
  2. Inverter (PV)
  3. Power storage (battery)

Thanks to the new Vitocharge display, the system can now be configured more flexibly: All available Device combinations can be mapped. At the same time, the clearer structure with separate device pages for each module ensures that functions can be viewed and used in a more targeted manner. And last but not least, this new visualisation makes your Vitocharge future-proof - because it forms the basis for future functions such as intelligent energy control.

Energy cockpit ready

Intelligent actions can already be triggered via the new device statuses:

  • Use states such as PV power, state of charge, feed-in as triggers for automations
  • Example: The electric underfloor heating is activated when the PV power is high
  • Or: Increase the desired temperature of your buffer cylinder slightly if sufficient solar power is available

The following information is clearly displayed in the wibutler app:

  • PV power, system states, state of charge, charging power, total discharge power (charging and discharging energy), etc.
  • Historical data as a diagram for: PV power, state of charge, energy surplus

What follows

The release of the energy cockpit control system makes it possible to intelligently distribute PV surpluses:

  • Preferably charge your e-car with your own electricity
  • Use free energy to heat your buffer tank
  • Optimise your own consumption through intelligent power distribution

WIBUTLER APP IN NEW LANGUAGES

With the 2.56 update, wibutler continues to grow beyond language boundaries: The app is now also available in French and Spanish - in addition to German and English. The language of the wibutler-App automatically adapts to the system language of the smartphone - without any manual changes.

This not only makes it easier to use, but also opens new doors. Whether in France, Spain or beyond: users can easily network digital building technology with wibutler - in their own language.
