Martins heats more efficiently with its heat pump - thanks to demand-led control with wibutler. But that's not all. Thanks to cross-manufacturer networking on the smart home platform, he was also able to easily retrofit comfort and safety applications.
In Martin's heat pump project, the wibutler pro is the centrepiece of the smart building automation system. It simply networks the heat pump, underfloor heating controller, thermostats, electricity meter, leakage protection device and actuators with each other - even though the devices come from different manufacturers. He can operate his smart home intuitively in the wibutler app. Here we present the applications that Martin has retrofitted in his smart home.
More efficient heat

With wibutler, Martin controls his heat pump according to demand - automatically and with room precision.
The combination of Viessmann ViCare actuators and the Underfloor heating controller from Oventrop ensures maximum efficiency and noticeable living comfort.
How does it work?
The ViCare actuators can be installed on the radiator without additional tools. They also record the current room temperature, which is why additional temperature sensors are no longer required in the respective rooms.
The Underfloor heating is seamlessly integrated - via the intelligent heating circuit controller from Oventrop with suitable room operating units.

hydraulic balancing
Both Viessmann ViCare as well as Oventrop Q-Tech bring the hydraulic balancing to a new level:
- The ViCare actuators perform dynamic balancing fully automatically - including learning phase and intelligent valve control
- The modular system from Oventrop Q-Tech automatically controls radiators, panel heating and even cooling systems
The result: even heat distribution. Maximum energy efficiency. And zero effort for you.
Windows open - heating off
It becomes even more efficient with a smart window contact. Martin uses components from Eltako, that communicate directly with the heating: As soon as a window is opened, the heating in the corresponding room pauses automatically.
This saves energy - and at the same time protects against burglary when nobody is at home.
More Comfort
Smart scenes: Light & shadow
wibutler not only makes your home more efficient - it also makes it more convenient. Martin controls his shutters and lighting easily via the wibutler app - or automatically via individually definable scenes. The technical basis: Eltako actuators that can be flexibly integrated via centralised or decentralised installations.

Smart shading: Automatically controlled
Whether up on time in the morning or down at sunset in the evening - with wibutler, roller shutters can be intelligently controlled.
Martin has his Shading via Eltako actuators integrated. These can be installed either centrally (e.g. in the switch cabinet) or decentrally (directly at the window) - whatever suits the building.
Combined with time controls or the astro function, this creates real home comfort. And: Roller shutters provide additional protection from heat, cold and prying eyes.
Smart lighting: Light according to rhythm
The lighting can also be controlled via wibutler and Eltako switching or dimming actuators smart control.
Martin has set up a simple scene that contains certain Luminaires activated at the touch of a button. Other options?

Water is life - but not on the parquet floor.
Martin protects his home with the SYR SafeTech Connect - one Intelligent leakage protection device, that recognises damage early and reacts immediately. Thanks to seamless integration into the wibutler platform, the system is not only secure - it is also smartly networked.
How does it work?
The SafeTech Connect permanently measures the water flow in the house connection. If it detects a leak or unusual consumption patterns, it automatically closes the pipe - and before damage occurs. And the best thing is: you get a Push notification directly in the wibutler app - or be warned by a siren.

EnergyMonitoring & Regulation

Martin has an overview - thanks to smart electricity meters, directly integrated into the wibutler platform. Two devices, two functions:
- The Dual current meter at the house connection point analyses the entire current flow in the building: What comes in? What goes out? So Martin knows his Degree of self-sufficiency - and knows exactly how much electricity he uses himself.
- The Single-flow meter on his heat pump measures the exact energy consumption of the system. This enables Targeted monitoring - directly in the app.
Energy cockpit: More than monitoring
With the wibutler Energy Cockpit monitoring becomes the control centre for your energy flows. Martin can see in real time how much electricity his PV system generates, how much it consumes - and where Utilise surpluses intelligently leave.
And here it comes:
- Surpluses do not have to be fed into the grid - they can used specifically in the house become
- Compatible Battery storage can be integrated directly
- Non-compatible storage units? No problem: can still be integrated via the dual flow meter
- Wallbox from Mennekes? Can be integrated - and then charges automatically with PV power
- Also a Thermal storage can be charged with surplus PV electricity in the future
