Whether for a comfortable climate in the bedroom or for energy-saving ventilation in summer - with the wibutler firmware update 3.2, ventilation control is now even smarter. From now on, individual Maico PP45 fans can be controlled individually and integrated into smart rules. This opens up new possibilities for more comfort and efficiency in everyday life.

Previously, our ventilation management was organised centrally: All Maico PP45 fans installed in the building were combined into a single component. This meant that No individual control, no zone-based automation - and no differentiated control by room. The new update changes exactly that - for more control, more comfort and more efficiency.

Individually controllable fans - more flexibility

Each installed Maico PP45 fan is now recognised as a separate component in your wibutler-App displayed. This allows you to:

  • Create specific time or if/then rules
  • Ventilate individual rooms individually
  • Control several fans in one room together

For example, fans in the bedroom can only be activated at night or the fan in the bathroom can be automatically turned up in the morning. Available options include: Ventilation levels 0-5, up/down function (e.g. via push-button), “Previous level” as a return option. A real plus for everyone, who want to adjust their ventilation to the rhythm of the day using a push-button or complex control system.

The update also makes it possible to control the operating mode of individual fans - Manual or automated. There is a choice:

  • Heat recovery
→ In winter, the heating energy remains in the building.
Example: If the outside temperature falls below 5 °C, the fan automatically activates heat recovery mode - so the heat stays in the house.
  • Cross ventilation
→ In summer, cool outside air provides passive cooling.
Example: At outside temperatures below 20 °C, the fans switch to cross ventilation mode - the heat stays outside, the air stays fresh.

In addition to these operating modes, you can also use the Ventilation levels (0-5, On, Off) and the quick modes Sleep and intensive mode from each individual fan. This works both via app and in automation rules - as required. For appliances with a built-in humidity sensor, you can also use the Automatic mode (On, Off) control.

This saves energy and increases living comfort at the same time.

The home area has also been revised: The display of the ventilation levels is now customised to the four stages according to DIN 1946-6 harmonised. This provides you with a uniform, standardised interface - for a better overview and legally compliant implementation.

A further step towards the standardised platform for digital building technology.

With firmware 3.2 you get:

  • Revised home area in accordance with DIN 1946-6 - for clear orientation
  • Customised control of your Maico PP45 fans
  • Zone-based automation directly in the app
  • New control options: Ventilation levels 0-5, up/down, previous level
  • “Heat recovery” & “cross ventilation” operating modes can be controlled manually & by controller

The functions are available from firmware 3.2 on the wibutler pro (2nd gen.) and require app version 2.18.2
