With the integration of Mennekes wall boxes and new energy control, wibutler directs the solar power to where it counts: your own home.
Wibutler, the platform for digital building technology, is expanding its energy control: Mennekes wallboxes can now be intelligently controlled via the new energy cockpit of the Wibutler app. Users can now use their self-generated solar power specifically to charge their electric vehicle - completely automatically, without any detours via the grid. Various charging modes ensure maximum flexibility. Simple operation. Maximum efficiency. And the next development step is already in the works: soon, electricity and heat can be combined even more intelligently - for more energy self-sufficiency in buildings.
Münster, 23.09.2025 - The platform for digital building technology is taking another step towards a networked energy future. Mennekes AMTRON® wallboxes (4You 500 & 4Business 700 series, from firmware 1.4.x) fully compatible with wibutler. The special feature: Users can utilise self-generated solar power for the intelligent charging of their electric vehicle via the wibutler app.
Everything comes together in the app's energy cockpit: This is where the entire energy flow in the building is visualised - from the degree of self-sufficiency and PV production to the current charging of the battery or wallbox. It also controls what flows where. Depending on their needs, users can simply choose between different charging modes - e.g. fast charging, pure surplus charging or a hybrid variant. This maximises self-consumption - without compromising on convenience.
Energy regulation instead of complexity
What previously required complex EMS solutions or expensive stand-alone solutions is now handled by wibutler - simple, standardised and manufacturer-independent. The workload for tradespeople is noticeably reduced. No additional hardware, no special configuration. Everything from a single source and on a single platform. For manufacturers of technical building equipment, there is a decisive advantage: they can quickly integrate their products into a smart energy ecosystem - with full control over device functions and data.
Looking ahead: heat meets electricity
With the integration of the wallboxes, wibutler is laying the foundation for the next expansion stage of its Energy regulation. Users will soon not only be able to control their energy flows, but also prioritise them - e.g. between the wallbox and a networked hot water cylinder. For the first time, wibutler brings thermal and electrical energy flows together in a common logic. Another plus for anyone who wants to make their home more efficient, self-sufficient and sustainable.
Channelling electricity to where it makes sense - instead of giving it away to the grid
With this simple idea, wibutler once again shows how digital building technology can work today: simply networked, open and measurably efficient. Whether in the smart home or smart building - the cross-manufacturer platform intelligently sets energy flows in motion.
