The integration of Matter into the wibutler pro (2nd gen.) is on the home straight. After intensive work, our team has completed the development on schedule. Now the certification by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) is still missing to officially release the function for you.
Development completed
What does that mean for you?
Our team has completed the development work on the Matter integration as planned. This means that your wibutler pro (2. Gen.) will soon be usable as a Matter bridge. For you, this means that your devices from BEGA, Eltako, JUNG, Oventrop and Viessmann will soon be compatible with Matter via wibutler. For the first time, you will also be able to control these devices with Apple Home or Samsung Smart Things, for example. This means that your wibutler-compatible devices can be networked with many other devices from the Matter world. You can also use functions such as Apple shortcuts for smart automations.
With the wibutler pro (2nd gen.) as a Matter bridge, you will be able to use the extensive automation options in parallel as usual. In addition to the advantages of Matter, you will still have access to time rules, if/then rules, advanced rules and the alarm function, which you can use individually for more energy efficiency, comfort and security in your home. wibutler will also continue to take care of demand-led heating and individual room control for you, so that your home remains particularly energy-efficient.

Next steps
What happens now?
In order for the Matter integration to go live, the Official certification by the CSA. This involves a number of obligations - first and foremost the technical inspection by an authorised test laboratory (TÜV and DEKRA). Over the past weeks and months, we have prepared everything thoroughly to make this process as smooth as possible. Before we can continue, however, we unfortunately have to wait until the external test laboratory has completed the technical inspection. Exactly how long the test will take depends on the test laboratory.
What does that mean for you? Until the technical review has been completed, we are unfortunately unable to give a release date. We understand that this is unsatisfactory, but we want to communicate with you as transparently as possible.
