A new monitoring system makes it easy for wibutler users to live energy self-sufficiently
Münster, 26 September 2023 - The wibutler energy OS enables energy-saving applications for thermal and electrical energy flows and now also enables flexible measurement and visualisation of electricity consumption and generation. The wibutler app offers a new energy monitoring function that allows users to precisely track their level of energy self-sufficiency and increase their independence from expensive electricity suppliers.
With wibutler, residents can now flexibly measure their electricity consumption and generation. In addition, the wibutler app has been specially expanded to include detailed energy monitoring that clearly visualises the measured values. In the new dashboard, users can see live values as well as historical daily, weekly and monthly data.
The power consumption and power generation values are measured using single or bidirectional Eltako electricity meters. This means that PV systems, inverters, battery storage systems and electricity consumers from a wide range of manufacturers can be connected to the wibutler operating system. With the help of an infrared adapter, which is also compatible, a large number of electronic household meters (eHZ) from municipal utilities or grid operators can also be read and their values tracked in the wibutler app.
In addition to visualising the values, wibutler also calculates the home's current level of energy self-sufficiency and displays this in the new energy monitoring system. This means that users can keep an eye on their independence at all times and can more easily generate and consume their energy decentrally. For wibutler, this function is crucial to successfully mastering the energy transition.
